Window Roll-Up Privacy Screens in Toronto and the GTA

Exterior roll-up screens that block heat, UV, and daytime sightlines before they reach the glass. Keep the view out, cut glare, and make exposed windows easier to live with.

Exterior Screens for Heat, Privacy, and Glare Control

When heat and privacy problems start at the window, interior blinds only solve part of the issue. They can darken the room, but they do not stop much of the solar load from reaching the glass in the first place.

Exterior window screens work earlier in the process. They block a large share of the sun before it enters, reduce daytime visibility from outside, and make bright rooms more comfortable without eliminating the outward view.

Why Homeowners Add Exterior Window Screens

The biggest gains usually come from exposed south- and west-facing glass, but the same approach helps anywhere heat and visibility are a problem.

Block Heat Before It Enters

Exterior solar fabrics reduce heat gain at the glass, which is much more effective than waiting to block light from inside the room.

Daytime Privacy Without Heavy Blinds

A tighter openness fabric limits inward visibility from the street or neighbouring homes while still preserving your view out during the day.

Great for Large and Exposed Windows

Picture windows, floor-to-ceiling glass, and west-facing rooms benefit the most because they take the heaviest glare and solar load.

Fits More Than One Window Type

These systems can be tailored for standard windows, sliding windows, large glazed openings, and upper-floor locations that are harder to manage with interior treatments alone.

System Options

Manual and Motorized Window Screen Systems

Manual Roll-Up Screens

Manual systems are a good fit for accessible ground-floor windows where the screen can be operated easily from outside and power is not needed.

They keep the setup simple and are often a sensible choice when only one or two windows need coverage.

How It Works

The Window Screen Installation Process

  1. Tell Us About the Windows

We start with the window locations, exposure, and whether the main goal is privacy, glare control, heat reduction, or a combination of all three.

  2. Site Measurement

We measure each opening, confirm mounting conditions, and review the best approach for the exterior wall material and access constraints.

  3. Custom Manufacturing

Each screen is built to the exact opening, with hardware and fabric selections matched to the specific window application.

  4. Installation

We install the cassettes and side guides cleanly on the exterior, test operation, and confirm the finished system is working properly before handover.

Common Questions

Window Privacy Screen FAQs

Will exterior screens damage my windows?

No. The system mounts to the surrounding exterior surface, not into the glass itself. We measure the opening and choose the right mounting approach so the installation stays clean and does not interfere with the window unit.

Can these screens be mounted on brick?

Yes. Brick is a common mounting surface for exterior window screens. We assess the wall condition during the site visit and use the appropriate anchors for the material on site.

Do exterior screens block the view from inside?

No. That is one of the main advantages of solar screen fabric. You still keep a usable outward view during the day, while the screen cuts glare and makes it much harder to see in from outside.

Are exterior screens better than interior blinds for blocking heat?

Yes. Interior blinds help with light control, but exterior screens stop a significant share of the solar load before it reaches the glass. That makes them much more effective when heat reduction is one of the main goals.

Stop Heat Before It Reaches the Glass

We custom-fit exterior window screens for the rooms and elevations that need real glare, privacy, and heat control.
